The case has been completely redesigned to pursue the dignity and substantial feel befitting formal settings. Its hallmark is Zaratsu polishing, used on fine Japanese watches. The flawless mirror finish, achieved through skilled craft, reflects light sharply for a commanding presence. To realize this beauty, we were exacting from the design stage, refining it through repeated prototypes. Uncompromising even in the finish of its exterior—a piece of the finest quality.
What's more, it keeps the mechanical reliability cultivated in ORTHODOXY while renewing the case and bracelet. A solid stainless-steel bracelet lends steady, substantial weight to the wrist, bringing genuine presence to everyday dress.
A higher formal line, at home with a suit or at a ceremony.
An R-Type case finished with the Zaratsu polishing used on fine Japanese watches. Its flawless mirror finish, achieved through skilled craft, reflects light sharply for a commanding presence that shines in formal dress.
The second and minute hands are deliberately curved to follow the domed crystal. Even these slender hands are given mirror-polished sides and a hairline-finished top, so light plays richly across them.
Each index is cut into ten facets to catch and throw light from every angle. Set 0.1 mm taller than usual and finished with a hairline top surface, they give the dial real depth and dimension.
Heating steel to grow an oxide layer creates traditional blued steel—once for rust protection, today for decoration. The blue screws glimpsed through the exhibition case back speak to the care taken in the parts you never normally see.
With a renewed case pursuing a substantial feel, the strap is a solid stainless-steel bracelet that lends steady weight and presence to the wrist. The lugs meet the end-links naturally, for a clean, cohesive finish.
Each movement receives additional regulation by our own watchmakers, beyond the factory-standard adjustment—holding down unit-to-unit variation for dependable, consistent accuracy.
